Isolation and identification of the metabolite of artemisinine in human
Abstract
Artemisinine, a new potent anti-malarial component isolated from Artemisia annua L., was given orally to malarial patients. From their urine another metabolite was isolated and identified as 9,10-dihydroxyhydro-artemisinine by spectroscopic methods.
