Distribution of 147Pm in bones and central nervous system in rats
Abstract
The radioactivites of fission product 147Pm were determined by low background beta counting.147Pm accumulated in fibula>humerus>femur>ulna>mandibula>pelvis>rib>vertebra.The distribution of 147Pm in the body showed that this fission product penetrated the hemato-encephalic barrier rapidly. There was an early selective deposition of 147Pm in spinal cord>medulla oblongata>cerebellum> thalamus>hypothalamus>cerebral cortex> white matter. After 24 h the appearance of indifffusible activity of 147Pm in the brain was diminished.
