Anti-allergic action of glycyrrhizin
Abstract
Glycyrrhizin 25 or 50 mg/kg iv into mice inhibited passive cutaneous anaphylaxis response (PCA, n=12, P<0.01). It antagonized the contraction of isolated rabbit ileum and guinea pig trachea induced by histamine, acetylcholine or slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A) in a concentration dependent fashion.
