Effects of potent analgesics ohmefentanyl and mefentanyl on respiration and electroencephalogram in rabbits %K %X Ohmefentanyl {N-[1-2-hydroxy-2-phenylethyl]-3-methyl-4-piperidyl-N-phenylpropanamide, OMF} and mefentanyl {N-[1-(2-phenylethyl)-3-methyl-4-piperidyl]-N-phenylpropanamide, MF} are2 derivatives of fentanyl with more potent analgesic effect and also longer in duration than that of fentanyl. The inhibitory effects of OMF and MF at the dose of 2*ED(50) on minute ventilation and arterial blood PO2 were less than that of fentanyl. The inhibition of OMF and MF on the EEG recorded from FR and NmT brain areas of rabbits was similar to that of fentanyl. The delta-rhythm was increased but theta- and beta2-rhythms were decreased in EEG by OMF and MF. %U http://www.chinaphar.com/article/view/4881 %V 7 %N 2 %P 100-103 %@ 1745-7254
